I am just about to book a car at Malaga Airport. The website is giving an option of a £20 deposit now and the rest comes out before the date we get there. Does the card need to be in the same name as the driver to pay the deposit?

Not on me, I was gonna use my card to book the car with my wife as main driver and let her use my card for the deposit. But it is OK. She will use her own card.

The payment online you can make with any card on any name. Only with pick up the main driver need a credit card in his name to hold the security deposit.
